New Light Theatre presents a staged reading premiere of Delaware playwright Jim Hawkins' new play, Hope Town, November 28th at 7:30 PM at OperaDelaware Studios, directed by Elise D'Avella, featuring Newton Buchanan, Heather Birmingham, Marcia Ferguson, Alfred A. Lance Jr., Donovan Lockett and Courtney Lynee.
Admission is free, donations will be accepted for the Housing Alliance of Delaware.
Life’s been rough for the residents of Hope Town, a homeless encampment by a busy highway. When an ambitious stranger discovers them by accident, a string of events unfold that forever changes their lives.
This project is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.
