New Light Theatre is now accepting submissions for anthropology, by Lauren Gunderson, in support of Trauma Matters DE, March 5-14, at OperaDelaware Studios in Wilmington, DE, directed by Allison Heishman.
When software engineer Merril's sister Angie disappears, she turns to the one thing she understands best, artificial intelligence. Using years of digital history, she creates an AI version of Angie in a desperate attempt to find the truth. anthropology asks urgent questions about memory, identity, and the limits of what technology can restore.
Seeking submissions from artists of all ages, gender, sexual, and racial identities for all roles in the production. All roles paid, nonunion stipends starting at $2,500, AEA contracts also available. Please note, NLT is unable to offer housing to out of town actors, therefore only actors with access to local housing are encouraged to submit.
Rehearsals for anthropology will take place weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons in Wilmington, DE, beginning in February, and performances March 5-14.
